Madagascar regularly faces extreme weather events and a series of climate shocks, leaving communities in dire need of aid.
MSF teams had returned to Madagascar in 2021 to respond to the consequences of the worst drought to hit the region in 30 years, the main priority being the diagnosis and treatment of malnutrition. Later we also responded to the aftermaths caused by storms and cyclones hitting the country.
Our teams provide medical care, nutrition support, and water and sanitation services to people affected.
