It was another long day of briefing with different parties. MSF project is to provide nutrition, outreach, outpatient and emergency surgical services in three areas of the Sanaa Governovate in the North of Yemen. There are ongoing conflicts between the rebel al-Houthi, Central Government and different tribes. The major conflict began in June 2004. Till now there were 5 wars happened. Last one was in May 2008 and ceasefire declared in July 2008. But there is increasing tension in recent months. MSF returned in late 2008 to 3 key sub-areas, Haydan, Razeh and Al Tahl to provide health care to local and displaced people there and to develop the capacity to respond to the war wounded. That’s why I am here. At 11pm, I finally receive the message of departure at 5am the next morning.
