Marketing Officer

    Job Purpose​

    To support the development and execution of MSF HK’s donor prospecting, cultivation and retention strategy. This role focuses on leveraging online and offline data, marketing tools and platforms, and appealing content to acquire new donors, maintain donor loyalty, enhance engagement, and increase giving value—aligning with fundraising goals through targeted, data-driven fundraising campaigns. ​

    Main Duties and Responsibilities​

    1. Online Marketing Strategy Development & Channel Management
    • Campaign Planning & Execution
    • Plan and execute targeted online marketing campaigns across digital channel ( eDM, WhatsApp, SMS, SEM, display ads, programmatic banners, GDN, Yahoo! & social media, advertorials and editorials, etc) to maximize donor engagement and fundraising outcomes.
    • Support digital strategies development to reach new prospects, activate first-time donors, retain existing supporters, and re-engage lapsed donors.
    • Content Development & Creative Production
    • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager, Senior Officer, and content creation team to develop and adapt content that aligns with campaign objectives and audience insights.
    • Design compelling visuals and artwork that reflect brand guidelines and effectively communicate campaign messages.
    • Outcome Optimization
    • Conduct A/B testing on digital content formats, messaging, and layouts to identify high-performing variations and optimize engagement and conversion rates.
    • Continuously refine campaign elements based on performance data and user behavior.
    • Regular Monitoring & Analysis
    • Monitor donor interactions, feedback, and engagement metrics across all digital channels with regular reporting.
    • Create campaign performance and audience responses dashboard that supports improvements & maximizations
    • Track campaign budgets and evaluate return on investment (ROI) to ensure cost-effectiveness and impact.
    • Research & Industry Awareness
    • Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the digital marketing and fundraising space.
    • Research and benchmark digital initiatives from other NGOs and international organizations to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
    2. Campaign Administration
    • Support the creation and maintenance of online donation sites for campaigns.
    • Ensure consistency and accuracy in income codes and donation tracking across platforms.
    • Generate and manage tracking links to ensure donations are correctly recognized and attributed to specific campaigns.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure donation pages are user-friendly, secure, and aligned with campaign objectives.
    • Support with digital campaign invoice processing, billing, and vendor creation for finance
    • Provide support to cultivation and retention campaign assigned by Manager
    3. Donor Journey & Retention
    • Support donor journey by creating engaging, seamless experiences across all digital touchpoints.
    • Support digital engagement is well-integrated into the overall donor journey, supporting and complementing offline and other touchpoints.
    • Co-work with Marketing Manager/Senior Officer to use insights and data to refine strategies and improve donor retention.
    • Monitor donor engagement metrics and campaign performance to identify effectiveness and efficiency.
    4. International and Cross-departmental Working Group
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Communications, Partnerships) to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
    • Support digital integration with existing offline FR channels such as DRTV, cold mail, cultivation and major donors programs for income optimization, lead generation and improved engagement and conversion.

     

    The Ideal Candidate ​

    • University graduate
    • At least 3 years working experience in marketing, sales, CRM marketing, customer service or related fields; charity fundraising experience will be an asset
    • Good sense in numbers with analytical sense
    • Committed to deliver objectives; results oriented
    • Strong project management skills, able to steer project within the budget and the timeline with minimum supervision
    • Excellent liaison, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills and be able to work under pressure.
    • Attentive to details
    • Excellent proficiency in written English and Chinese
    • Able to work independently but also a good team player
    • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Canva, etc)
    • Experience with the CRM systems and analytical tools would be an asset

MSF Hong Kong will offer a remuneration package of 12 months basic salary benchmarked in INGO with no discretionary bonus.
