Change Lead for MSF HK Office
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian organization that provides impartial medical care to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care in over 70 countries. Key Responsibilities
- The position will lead the Hong Kong office through the required change meeting its strategic objective.
- This includes leading change project to optimize the overall office setup and accelerate acquisition performance, the position ensures alignment across stakeholders, strengthens accountability and ways of working, and enables the organization to rebuild capacity and improve performance whilst protecting its contribution to medical humanitarian operations.
- The role is also responsible for leading the MSF Hong Kong office within its mandate in accomplishing its social mission. It also ensures that MSF Hong Kong adheres to MSF’s core values and principles, attains the goals and objectives agreed upon with the MSF Hong Kong Board in the annual plan.
- A member of MSF HK Management Team who effectively leads and assumes overall responsibilities for the functioning of MSF HK office in Hong Kong. The role will ensure the delivery of Q2 work program (i.e. annual plan) while driving the successful delivery of change project. The Change Lead reports directly to the Executive Director of MSF HK.
The Ideal Candidate
- University degree or above in business, accounting, finance, legal, management or related disciplines.
- Post graduate studies/knowledge in global issues, good understanding of humanitarian and development sector.
- At least 15 years progressive working experience in managing team and departments in multinational/public organizations, and senior leadership roles ideally in fundraising, transformation and organizational development
- Experience and knowledge of MSF function and structure is a must
- Proven track record in leading multi-phase change or growth projects involving structural, operational, and capability shifts
- Strong understanding of individual giving, donor acquisition, and retention strategies
- Experienced in improving accountability, role clarity, and ways of working across; leading multidisciplinary teams and strengthening internal capabilities
- Solid analytical thinking, able to balance the big picture and maintain necessary attention to detail
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Collaborative, empathetic, and culturally sensitive
- High integrity, sound judgement, and ability to build trust quickly
- Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines
- Drive, lead, build and coach teams and growth in Hong Kong
